The East Troy Area Historical Society had their annual Founders Day dinner on May 20, at Ivan’s Backstage. This year’s event portrayed the life of Michael Clancy, an Irish immigrant who settled in East Troy during the 19th century.
Frank Price, a well known, homegrown native of East Troy narrated the evening’s event.
The evening was casual and serendipitous in form. Frank Price led off, then soon after, the evening took on a life of its own. The evening was filled with Clancy anecdotes and a touch of humor. Whoever wanted to speak could speak. It was warm and welcoming. Approximately 55 guests attended.
The two hour evening was capped off with a Clancy group picture. Lots of smiles and happy faces. One could say it was like a Clancy family reunion. Everyone enjoyed the festivities. It was a “Good” night!
